I just added yet another haul video on my YouTube channel so I thought I'd add detailed pictures of the products swatches and do two comparisons as well. Here's the actual video:
First off all of you should visit Shoplately, which was the first thing I mentioned in my video. This site literally has the coolest and cheapest jewelry ever. I'm really glad I heard someone talking about it on Youtube, here's the fabulous site!: http://shoplately.com/?r=lleewwiiss11
Now one of the products I mentioned in the video above was Make Up Forever's Aqua Cream, The picture below is a swatch of both of them, number 13 being on the top and 15 on the bottom. These are awesome shades and go on like a dream! I'm absolutely obsessed with cream eye shadows.
After I played around with the Aqua Cream colors, I noticed 15 was pretty similar to two other cream shadows I had in my collection. One being Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze and MAC's Constructivist Paint Pot, so I decided to swatch all three of those for you to show you the difference
(Bad To The Bronze on top, Aqua Cream in the middle, and Constructivist on the bottom)
I'd say the Aqua Cream is closer to Bad To The Bronze but it definitely isn't as dark as Constructivist. Out of all three I'd say the Aqua Cream have the best consistency and are the easiest to work with.
Then I ended up also getting my first Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 in The Scenic Route:
The top color is called Breathtaking and the bottom is called Spectacular. The names couldn't have been named any better ;) I usually don't buy any duos, actually, I never have before. I didn't really care for or need Breathtaking but it was Spectacular that I had been lusting after. The color is just so gorgeous, it's like a sparkly army green and they're both SO smooth. Love them!
Now onto the blushes, as always, I usually get a little carried away with blush buying ;) The first one I got from Target was Wet n Wild's Heather Silk. It's SO pigmented and SO cheap, only $2.99! I think it'll be a nice shade for the fall season.
The second blush I got was NARS Lovejoy! I have yet to try this blush and I'm not too sure I'll be keeping it yet because it is kind of dark for my skin tone and expensive but I do like the amount of shimmer in it.
And the last one is my favorite, Laura Mercier's Lush Nectarine. This is the PERFECT summer blush, it has the right amount of peach and shimmer in it and is extremely pigmented. It is a blush must for any skin tone...no..seriously. However, it is kind of pricy, but, I think I'll have this shade for a long time.
And because Sephora is so amazing and has the best deals around, I got a free lip gloss from Anastasia. It's in color Moi and it's part of their Hydrafull Glosses. I'm not sure if it's because it's a deluxe sample but the applicator is just a plastic wand and does not spread the product around at all! But it does smell like vanilla and does leave a nice color on my lips.
Okay, now last swatches of this blog post! My favorite purchase from this haul I think may be the Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Static just because it is absolutely gorgeous. Here's a picture of it alone, but this doesn't do it justice at all.
It has these beautiful purple flecks of glitter in it and when paired with a dark black base underneath, it literally looks breathtaking (no..not the bare minerals color..lol.)
So I realized I have a lot of similar white shimmery purple pigments laying around so I thought I would see which one looked the prettiest over the black.
The Top is one of the products I got from my August's MyGlam Bag, it's S.A.L.T.Y. Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow in Glama-Zoid! This kind of just came off rather chalky on the black. The next one down is Make Up Forever's Star Powder, I thought for sure this would come off extremely purple, but it actually looks really blue, and gorgeous! Then I used L'Oreal's HIP's Pigment, not sure the color because it's so old it rubbed off :( however, it turned out kind of pretty, not all that impressed. And lastly was the Illamasqua Pure Pigment, which in person, I think is the winner. I highly recommend this one of a kind pigment.
