Urban Decay Palette Purchases!

I went a little eyeshadow crazy, I don't know what has gotten into me with eye shadows lately but I just CANNOT get enough. I blame YouTube ;) I see a lot of beauty gurus doing tutorials with certain palettes and usually I'm not too interested, but then I saw different ones with these two:

(Above, Urban Decay Book Of Shadows IV)

(Above, the beautiful Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette)

Okay, now I'm really not over exaggerating when I say, these are the nicest eyeshadow palettes I have ever bought. WAY smoother than the Naked palettes and even MAC's eye shadows, which coming from me, really mean something. They're all sooo buttery and pigmented. So whatever they did to this new formula, it is WORKING! I think out of both palettes there were about three total that I really didn't care for and didn't swatch well but I'll add a picture of each color below, starting with the Book Of Shadows IV:

                                                                      ^Blue Bus^
^Gunmetal^ (one of the smoothest in the palette)
                                                         ^Hijack^ (not too pigmented)
                                                               ^Midnight Cowgirl^
                                                                 ^Midnight Rodeo^
                                                     ^Crystal^ (worst pigmentation of ALL)
                                                           ^Skimp^ (not too pigmented)
                                                                     lastly, ^Zephyr^

Overall this palette is AMAZING. Seriously some of these left my mouth agape because of the quality, not to mention it comes with a waterproof liquid eyeliner as you can see in the first couple of pictures, a Supercurl Curling Mascara, and a mini Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Also as I state in my YouTube video here:

It also comes with ideas, that you can plug into your computer or get off of your phone by scanning a code! And just a side note, this palette has 16 shades, the 15th Anniversary palette has 15. But a very awesome palette and as you can tell, I highly suggest it.

Now to the 15th Anniversary Palette swatches:

                                                                 ^Midnight Rodeo^
                                                   ^Deeper^ (HOLY PIGMENTATION!!)
                                                                    ^Midnight 15^
                                                  ^Junkshow^ (HOLY PIGMENTATION)
                                                       ^Ace^ (HOLY PIGMENTATION)
                                                      ^Evidence^  (Just okay pigmentation)
                                                         ^Blackout^ (Poor pigmentation)
                                                                 ^Deep End^ (Gorgeous!)
                                                                        ^Half Truth^

All in all, I am blown away by the packaging, it is absolutely gorgeous. There were a couple of colors that I thought could be more pigmented but I would buy this palette over and over again. Some of the colors are the smoothest things I've ever touched, which is most likely because this is their new formula. Also, as I said before, the packaging is just fantastic, it also actually has a little lip near the bottom right hand corner which you can pop open and use the package however you'd like once your eyeshadow is gone. It is limited edition so I'm not sure there are much available anymore but if you can get your hands on one of these palettes for a good price, I would definitely get it. The only draw back is that it didn't come with anything like almost all palettes from Urban Decay do, but oh well, this is still my new favorite!

And again, check out the video I posted before the 15th Anniversary Palette! THANKS FOR READING AND MAYBE WATCHING ;)

July's Birchbox!

YESSS, it's here, it's here! I actually got this a couple days ago. Pretty impressive shipping time I'd say! Anyways, above is how it came. I guess this month was sponsored by Glamour. If you guys would rather watch the video on the products, then click here!:

Still with me? ;) Yes?!! Good. Okay, first off I got a perfume sample, sad face, it's by Harvey Prince and it's called Hello. Well hi, but I don't like the scent, and pretty much never enjoy these samples. So in the garbage it has gone! Sorry Harvey! Then I got a cute deluxe sample of Blinc Mascara, love this stuff, I've tried it before and it lasts SO long on your eyelashes. Very impressive mascara! Moving right along, I also got Alterna Bamboo UV Color Protection Fade Proof Fluid for my hair of course, I have color treated hair so we'll give this little puppy a whirl and see how it goes. Last beauty product is the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Glow, I didn't see too much of a glow when I tested it on the back of my hand but I'll give it a go and see how I like it! Then I got some Minteas from Tea Forte, they taste like Hersey's York Peppermint Patty, nothing I'd ever buy personally but still cute nonetheless. And lastly, I got a "Birchbox exclusive" it says, which are just some headphones, cute, but we'll see if I use them.

Do you guys subscribe to Birchbox? If so, what did you get this month?!

Phew, poor little credit card, take a nice little nap. So I explained everything in detail that I got from my HAULMANIA today on my YouTube channel here:

But as I promised, I will swatch a couple of the items that my silly, dumb, dumb, camera didn't pick up too well. The first being my Elf Cream Eyeshadow in Dawn:

Very impressed with the pigmentation, especially since it was only $3.00. Elf needs to make more colors! I only saw 3 different colors there and this one looked the prettiest to me. Then for my next swatcharoo, I got the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in French Fries, which to me is just the cutest name, ever!
These eye pencils are so creamy and so pigmented. I absolutely love this color and can't wait to play with it, not to mention, it was just under $5.00. What a bargain! And my last swatch for you guys is for the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Coral Reef:
In the plastic pan, this color looks down right frightful, however, on the cheeks it blends out really nicely and gives the skin a very light coral kiss. These cream blushes are kind of expensive, it was just under $10.00, but you'll most likely have them for quite a long time and I think they're worth every penny!

How To Spot Counterfeit MAC

I'm all about bargains just like the next girl, I've just recently started my MAC collection and I'll hear people talk about a certain eyeshadow color they have but it's discontinued or a limited edition color. So what do I do? I Google it and try to find it, usually resulting in buying things off eBay, well, not anymore. I received my first counterfeit item from the internet, since I have plenty of MAC eye shadows, now, it was easy to spot, however this seller seems to have a lot of other people fooled. First of all I tried to purchase MAC's Knight Divine, and this one was the cheapest, even in the pot. There was my first red flag. They had a ton of positive reviews and such and had a nice picture, so I was sold. I got it in the mail today and this is what it looked like:
It doesn't even say Knight Divine! They couldn't even go through that much trouble! And what is the A18 underneath? Anyone in their right mind should know this is a fake. The actually pot it came in looked pretty legit, but when compared to other pots, it definitely had minor differences. I'll now insert a picture of a real one (I apologize about the magnet on the back):
It doesn't state the finish like every MAC eyeshadow does or anything, just very very poorly done on their part. Just be careful when buying anywhere other than MAC, there are so many counterfeit makeup items sold everywhere, it's really scary. If you're going to spend the money, spend it there! I know I learned my lesson.

Fourth Of July Nails!

So I'm a little over excited to have some fun with my nails this week so today, while being extremely bored, I took the time to do this...

Basically I started with just wanting to paint my nails red...then an hour later boredom struck and I thought, "why not attempt to spice them up??", so I took some labels, cut then into tiny pieces and made little strips making sure to leave room for the stars. So I took a very fine tipped white nail polish, let them sit for maybe 15-20 minutes and then I had my stripes! Then just carefully added a blue square, waited for that to dry, and add glitter to top it off!!

I love them and think they're adorable. Then, for my nails, this won't be exactly what I'll wear for the fourth because my nails are awful and don't hold polish very well so I'll spice them up more than this, but I got this polish with my subscription to Julep, LOVE IT!!! Check Julep out here:

I have got SO many compliments on these nails! Hope you guys enjoy and have a great holiday! xoxo.
