Nail Color Of The Week!

Are you ready for the sassiness? Yes? No? Maybe so? If you're not ready, don't look at this next picture

Isn't it sassy?!! This craptastic picture does my nails no justice but I went to Joann Fabrics awhile ago and got a ton of little glitter packs just for accent nails like this. I painted my nails with Essie's smokin' hot, which is a really nice deep plumy purple color as you can see and then I used the darkest purple in the pack, painted one coat of smokin' hot, and immediately dipped it into the glitter, tapping off the excess and patting down the glitter, then put a top coat on! Very simple and probably one of my favorite nail looks so far. Sometimes I just get bored with my nails but glitter always brings me back to life. ;)

OOTD: Girls Night

Or should I say, Outfit Of The Night? :)

I went out for a couple of drinks last night with a ton of girlfriends and since it was actually pretty nice out for ONCE! I decided to break out a skirt, which I got from Target, along with the gray tank top. The sandals I got from DSW last summer, I also put on my Michael Kors watch and two small bracelets one with the letter M and the other with a J, because that's mine and my boyfriends first name initial :) (Also, I know the letters "Bootyful" are dorky, I just wanted to add something funny to my mirror.)

Ulta Haul!

Yesssss, I love spending money lately! Haha, as always ;) These are some products I've heard about and wanted to try for awhile because of YouTube beauty gurus. I really, really, wanted to try the real technique brushes because I love to watch the Pixiwoo sisters and I've heard so many rave reviews so I got their Expert Face Brush, Powder Brush, and Shading Brush (I'll add a better picture of them below). However, I returned the shading brush because I thought it would be the size of the Deluxe Crease Brush which is what I want for under eye concealer like the Pixiwoo sisters use it for. Other than that, so far I love them! They're very soft and wonderful! Then I decided to try Sexy Hairs, Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner, it smells pretty yummy and so far, has made my hair feel a lot softer and healthier. For $4.29, I decided to also try a very raved about product, the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deeeeep, love it, used it once so far and it left my hair feel sooo soft and soooo deeeeeply conditioned ;) and lastly, I needed a moisturizer with SPF for work, so I decided to try Olay's Complete All Day UV Moisturizer-Sensitive Ski, so far I like it! But I think I need a little bit more time with everything I bought, besides the Shading Brush. Have you guys tried any of these???

Nail Color Of The Week!

 (With flash)
(Natural light)

This is definitely a sassy new years nail if I've ever seen one. I used Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Celeb City, which is a gorgeous color in itself but then I topped it with Essie's Luxeffects in Set In Stone. I am obsessed with how they look and they just shimmer like crazy in the sunlight, very pretty and saucy for a fun night out ;)

Sephora/Ulta Mini Haul!

Today was a very very awesome day, because I got to spend all my hard earned mulla on stuff I probably didn't need! YAY! These were the couple beauty items I bought, first I really wanted to try the Bareminerals under eye concealer in Well Rested, I've been trying it for a couple of days now and it's alright so far. Then I bought a NYX eyeliner pencil in Azure, wow, just gorgeous pigmentation, LIKE BUTTA. I'll swatch all the eyeliners below at the end of this post though so you can see. Then I wanted a nice brown eyeliner, I've never owned one, can you believe that? So I didn't really know what to try so I just grabbed Rimmel's Soft Kohl Pencil in Sable Brown, not too crazy about this color, I kind of wanted something a little darker, any suggestions guys??? Then staying down the line, I wanted to try NYX's Eyeshadow Bases so I got ESB01, a nice bright white base, which just makes the colors a lot more vivid and it also primes your eyelids as well, not to mention brightens them of course with the bright white. Then after mustering up the courage to spend $24 on a makeup brush, I bought Sephora's Airbrush Concealer (No.57), it is quite amazing and makes my under eyes look great, I'm still trying to perfect it though. Then I got a couple of cheap mini products near Ulta and Sephora's registers, one being LaVanila Laboratories Deodorant in Vanilla Lavender, it smells pretty great but I don't think I need to spend $18 on a full sized one, I also bought a mini NARS Shadow Pencil in Tall Tale, again, the swatch will be below, and lastly for the sample sizes I decided to try CHI's Iron Guard, I'm just addicted to the smell of this!! I also got a refill of the Anastasia Eyebrow Gel, addicted to this stuff. And the last thing I got, which isn't pictured, was a Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in Black. Pretty awesome stuff, if you have time to pull out an extra mascara. Phew, that was a lot of typing, hope you guys enjoyed!

May's MyGlam Bag

Okay so I'm a little behind on showing you guys what I got in this months MyGlam Bag, but I got two new MyGlam makeup brushes, I think the one on the far left is meant to be a concealer brush and the one next to it on the right is an eyeliner brush, not sure how you could use either one for those purposes but mehhh. Then I got some trashy Nail Blings? Yeah..I'm 22 years old, not sure I'll be sporting those anytime soon. I also got a Studio Gear lipstick in Rose Impressionist, which I swatched below:

It's quite pigmented but I honestly think I look silly with any kind of lipstick on, it's just not really my thing but I know lots of other people love lipstick so I'm sure people were happy with this. Last and DEFINITELY least, I got a dummy dumb dumb perfume sample, yet again, blah, garbage, it's called Love Sweet Love by Philosophy, which I do love Grace from them but not this, yucky. Otherwise this bag was alright, I kept the cute lips bag it all came in and am now using it in my makeup case, LOVE the bags they always come in. xo.

Nail Color Of The Week!

This week I chose Essie's Haute As Hello. It is the perfect bright coral color, even though the picture doesn't really do it justice. I really love it, and it matches these really cute bright coral capri pants that I got from Target the other day. It's just an overall fun color for this time of the year!

Not to mention, it brings a pop of color to the skin and is a real eye catcher ;)

JewelMint Purchase!

I heart JewelMint, and I needed, yes NEEDED, this beautiful ring before it sold out, so I just thought I'd share it with you guys, it's the Blanc Bomb ring in size 8, (I have chubby fingers ;) ). I highly recommend this site if you're jewelry obsessed like I am.

They always have amazing deals and coupons. When you first sign up it's buy one get one free as well! How can you beat that?

Now I have a beautiful gold watch to match my accessories with!

May's Birchbox!

Alright, there is nothing that makes me more excited than when I see my Birchbox or Myglam Bag comes in the mail, I literally drop everything.

So what I got today was, first of all, a little forest green headband from Twistband, it's alright, kinda thin and I thought maybe they could have picked a cooler color or a thicker one at least but, oh well, it'll be worn until it breaks..which feels like that could be any moment. Yes, I'm being a snarly brat.

Then I got a perfume sample called Arquiste, yuck, as I've said before, I hate perfume samples, I will be throwing this away, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, MyGlam and Birchbox, stop giving us free, yes, free, worthless perfume samples.

Next, I got a Beautyblender Cleanser, which was pretty exciting, pretty small however, but I'll be using this little baby!

Then I got a Color Club mini nail polish in Disco Nap, haha, odd name! I love what I see so far, I haven't tried it on yet, nor do I have a color like this, until nowww, wooooo!

Lastly, I got a Dr. Jart+ (Dr. Fart, what..?) Waterfuse BB Cream, I have really wanted to try a BB cream so this made me really excited but there is probably only enough for my face once in there, I tried so hard to get the product out, that was pretty disappointing.

All in all this was a pretty decent Birchbox, I just feel like they really, really, showed that you're spending $10, so you're really going to get about $10 worth of products. What did you guys think?

Fun Nail Polish!

Do you ever get sick of doing the same thing with your nails? Just one or two coats of one color and you're done? Well I did today so I decided to try this funky pattern I saw on YouTube. Pretty simple, I just used a bobby pin to achieve the polka dots and fine tipped nail polish brush to make the bow! I just think it looks so cute and girly, very adorable and fun for spring!

Who doesn't like a little more glitter in their lives??! :)

New Baby!!! Michael Kors Watch!

Okay, so I saved and saaaaved my mulla and decided this baby was something I needed in my life, well, maybe not needed, okay, yeah, needed. So I went to Macy's and I got 25% off, WOO! Meant to be, right? ;) Anyways, this one is the Midsized Chronograph Watch, I was going to get the male over sized one but my wrist was too small and it just looked stupid on me. So happy though, I really was debating between gold and rose gold but I just have way more gold jewelry and even though rose gold was the prettiest.

I can never find anything in rose gold like I can in gold, I think I made the right decision :)

Maybe someday, when I marry a rich millionaire, like Christian Grey, he'll get me the rose gold one? ;)

Nail Color Of The Week!

(With Flash..No, Not Boobies)
(Obviously, Without Flash)

Okay, kinda digging this color, it's OPI's gargantuan green grape, the only thing is, it took about 3 coats to get it to be this color. Maybe I just suck at applying nail polish though, which is all too possible :(

It is truly the perfect spring color and makes me crave mint chocolate chip ice cream...yeah, or maybe I just always crave ice cream and want to blame it on my nail polish..? ;) hehehe xo.

(Late) My April Birchbox

So I finally received an email from Birchbox saying I'm off the waiting list and am getting my first box, a little late in April, but still! Yay!

Not sure how pumped I am about these products because I'm more of a makeup girl than a skincare girl but who knows. I got a sample of Taylor Swift's, Wonderstruck, yuck, threw it away right away, I almost aaaalways hate perfume samples.

I got Willa, which is a nice facial wash, the only thing is, the scent is quite strong and almost perfum-y, but for me, it isn't a deal breaker.

Then I got Kahina Argan Oil and Facial Lotion, I haven't really tried these yet but argan oils seem to be all the rage lately.

Lastly I also got Alima Pure Nourishing Lip Balm in Rhubarb, it goes on pretty neutral and has a mint tingling sensation, not sure how I feel about this either but I'll need to try them all for a bit before I can give an honest review. I think a lot of people for April got a mini Zoya nail polish? I was kind of hoping for that but oh well, I still happy with my box though, I love trying new things, hopefully I'll find something new that I'm obsessed with that I never would have tried! We'll see though. xo.
