What I Got For Christmas! & A Hauliday ;)

I hope you all had an amazing holiday!

On my Twitter and Instagram, which is @meganlewis11 and meganlewis11, I got a ton of requests to do a "What I got for Christmas" video so I put everything I got in a big garbage bag and didn't touch ANYTHING until I had the chance to sit down and film this video!!!

So, I hope you guys enjoy this video, I'm not bragging by any means, I'm just sharing what my generous family got me. I am so blessed to have the people that I do in my life, and it was sooo fun seeing them open the gifts I got them!

Enjoy and have a safe New Years!! HAPPY 2013! AH!!

My 2012 Influenster Holiday Box!

I recently heard one of my friends talking about Influenster, so I signed up for it, gave my thoughts on a couple of products on the site, and about a month later I got an email that I was getting the Holiday 2012 Influenster Box!!

I was so excited!

Then it showed up on my porch, I opened it, and was so surprised at how awesome it was for FREE!

Yes. You get it for free, always.

All it is, is a site where you review products, kind of like makeupalley.com, except you get free stuff in return for doing it. So my interests were beauty and they know I'm a blogger. So after you get this, it is "suggested" you review it. I didn't know if I would, but I was blown away at how awesome it was.

I honestly love everything I got. Enough blabbering, watch it here, now!:

Oh, and of course I had to throw in a quick OOTD! ;)

Have a great day guys!!

Muah! Megs.

The Christmas TAG!

I LOOOOVE DOING CHRISTMAS ANYTHING! This TAG was screaming my name. And I may have had a little too much fun making it :)

The questions!:
What's your favorite holiday nail polish?
What's your favorite holiday movie?
Share your favorite winter accessory!
Describe or show your favorite Christmas tree ornament.
If you could have one wish come true this year, what would it be?
If you could kiss one celeb under the mistletoe, who would you kiss?
What's your New Year's Resolution?
What keeps you going during the "Holi-daze"?
How do you celebrate the holidays with your family?
Favorite holiday song?
Show a childhood photo of you at the holidays!
What's your favorite winter candle scent?
What's your favorite holiday candy?
What's your elf name (favorite nail polish + name of your first pet)?

I TAG you guys to do this too and have a happy holidays!!

Love, Megan

My December Birchbox, Ipsy Bag, & Julep!

So, I got all my monthly subscriptions for December and I thought it would be easy to just sit down and do all of them in one video. Do you guys like that idea? I just think it's easier.

Anyways, here is what I got! Watch now!:

So, my Birchbox gets a B, it was just again, underwhelming and bored me to be honest. I never get overly excited about their boxes anymore. They just aren't like Ipsy.

My Ipsy Bag gets an A, it included Urban Decay for crying out loud!!!

And, with Julep, you already know what you're getting so I'm in love with this box. It's the best nail polish purchase I've made in awhile! Totally worth the money and you guys should go check it out NOW! here: http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/25172/ and get your first box for a penny! Like, whoa, a penny!

Also, sign up for Birchbox!: https://www.birchbox.com?raf=rfcgz

Nail Color Of The Week!

I got my Julep Holiday Box in the mail the other day! For $49.99, I got all these amazing nail polishes! (minus the two Orly colors on the far right)

Now, I don't always get Julep boxes unless they're as unique as these were and I am soo happy I got this.

Also, not pictured, I got a foot scrub, nail polish remover pads, a DIY ring, and candy!

I don't know if you can still get it though but I highly suggest it if you can!!

Anyways, onto the color I used today from this box!

This picture doesn't even do this beautiful polish any justice, it's name is Julia and as I stated before, it's by Julep. It is this metallic purple color with lots of gold shimmer in it. It's opaque after about 2 coats, it doesn't chip easily, and it's just SO pretty!!

I can't say it enough. I'm so excited to play with the rest of these colors and let you guys know what I think!

Have a lovely day everyone!!

My Little Black Bag!

I'm sure lots of you have already heard about this company but I thought I'd film my box that I got this month!

Now this is my second box I've received from the company and I've honestly been loving it. I don't do it every month, just when I see something I really, really have to have like you can see in the video below. Purse-gasm.

I've had this purse now for about a week or two and am still obsessed, it's just the perfect size and the studs on the bottom are just soo sassy!!!

I also got some cool Lydell NYC earrings and a Lavanilla Lip Screen as well, all for $54.95, with shipping and tax.

If you guys want to know more about how it works, just watch the video above!

I just love the concept, and love the products!

A Day In The Life: Grandma Dancing!

Are you guys a little intrigued by the title? Hehe.

I love watching Vlogs and I've been tempted to make some sometimes because life can be rather hilarious. So, I had a funny night this past Friday and decided to film parts of it!

So, pretty much almost every Friday I have indoor volleyball, we're sponsored by a local establishment so we go there after every week to give them some of their money back!

The video shown above is honestly just a typical night with my family. You're guaranteed lots of laughs and smiles when hanging out with us! At the beginning you see my grandma and older sister, then later on my father, and then uncle (shown very quickly). So Friday night volleyball is definitely a family affair for us!

I love being so close to my family, I feel really, really lucky for that.

And it helps that I have an absolutely hilarious grandma!

Hope you all are well, and if you enjoy watching videos like this, let me know and I'll keep them up!!

MUAH! Megs.

Sephora Haul: Tarte Carried Away Set & Urban Decay Vice Palette

I wasn't planning on buying anymore makeup until...DUN DUN DUNNNN, the Sephora friends and family sale just hadddd to come along! ;)

So I had my eye on the Vice palette for awhile and thought, if I'm going to get this, now is the time to get it. I have been very impressed and in the video below, you can see all the swatches from this beautiful palette!

Then, I saw the amazing deal Tarte was having with it's Carried Away With Tarte Set, I also had to pick that up. I mean, $54 for a blush, a blush/powder brush, a setting powder, 8 lip glosses (also swatched in the video above), ANNND 24 eye shadows. Whoa, whoa whoa. Not to mention, it comes in the cutest case.

I think it's already sold out on Sephora.com for now, I'm sure it'll come back, but you guys must get your hands on this!

Any holiday sets that are must haves for you guys???

xoxo Megs

My Thanksgiving OOTD!!

Have you guys seen this video yet??!

If so, sorry again! Totally behind on here.

For Thanksgiving we always have a nice dinner at my grandparents house, so this is the casual, yet nice outfit I came up with.

I have been loving Express lately, which is where the top is from.

What do you guys think of this outfit?

xoxo, Megan

Nail Color Of The Week!!

I have been slacking on here!

So you know what I'm going to do? Chug a Mountain Dew and type out a couple of blog posts that should have been posted awhile ago, naughty Megan. ;)

So I haven't been too good with taking picture of my cool nail polishes, but this one I had on recently and absolutely loved!!

The base color is OPI's Die Another Day, from the James Bond Collection. The accent nail is Zoya's 18k Top Coat in Gilty. Now is an 18k top coat necessary? Probably not so much but I've never seen anything like this ever!

As far as for the OPI color, I don't know if I forgot a base coat or what but this color chipped almost instantly on me. Which is as you all know, extremely annoying!!!

Anyways, I really like these two paired together!

Hope you guys are all well!!

xoxo, Megs!

November's Birchbox And Ipsy Bag

Here they are!

Okay so first, let's talk about the Birchbox.

If you'd rather just watch my video on it, which, I talk about the products more, than go watch here:

Otherwise, carrying on, here's a closer look at my Birchbox:

Starting from left to right I received Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper, which is a treatment that helps to control frizzy, curly, hair, the retail of a full size is $10.

Chuao Chocolatier Mini Chocolate Bar, a 7 pack retails for $7.95. They tasted fine, but were nothing I would go out of my way to buy again.

Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer in Pink Shimmer, a full size retails for $20. This didn't really show up at all when smoothed out onto my skin, I do not recommend this product at all!!

Jouer Fragrance Cornucopia, a full size is $42. It is an extremely floral scent, but once you rub the oil onto your skin, you basically can't smell it at all.

And last, ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Lengthening Mascara, a full size is $24. I have yet to try this, but it looks okay. I personally hate fibers on my eyelashes and don't notice a difference when I have them on.

The products are okay, definitely nothing I care about and if someone said, would you rather have this box, or $10? I would take the money and spend it better.

I will continue buying Birchbox...for now.

Then onto my Ipsy bag!

First thing first, it comes in a chocolate satin bag with a gold zipper.

I ended up throwing the bag away, I can only find so many uses for these bags!

Anyways, the products starting from left to right:

Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel

Nailtini in Millionaire, which has small gold glitters, and green and gold bar glitter.

theBalm Meet Matte Eyeshadow in Matt Batali, which is a nice matte brown

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie in Dare Devil, which as you can see in the picture, is a very dark mauve with a little bit of glitter. It looks kind of scary for my complexion.

Lastly, Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner in Chocolate, which is just a reddish brown eyeliner

So that excited me a little more than the Birchbox, I will definitely be trying out these products and see if there's anything worth talking about in the future!

That's all I have for you guys now, let me know what you got!!

xoxo, Megs

LUSH HAUL!

It's my first ever, LUSH HAUL!!

WOOO, start the tub baby because it's about to get steaaaamy.

I've only tried a handful of products for LUSH but when people do hauls from there, I cannot stop watching.

They make some of the coolest looking products!

I will definitely be doing a followup post about what I thought about the products I picked, how they worked in the tub, if they did anything for my skin and so on.

I can tell you right now, I already HATED one thing, and LOVE another.

So stay tuned in for that! Maybe you should start following my blog so you don't miss that ;)

Muahaha, anyways, have a lovely night gals!

Nail Color Of The Week!

Today's polish of choice is Deborah Lippmann's Across The Universe!

This is truly a one of a kind nail polish, that I was lucky enough to get for free with a purchase. Otherwise, all Deborah Lippmann polishes retail for $18.

NOT CHEAP!

So if I grab one, it's usually because it's a very unique color.

Anyways, this color is a jelly dark blue based polish with green and blue glitter in it.
It only needs a couple of coats but if you wanted to make it look better you could probably just layer this over a blue or green nail polish.

I really think this color is a nice addition to anyone's collection and again, it is extremely unique!

xoxo, Megs

Nail Color Of The Week!

Today I am rocking Deborah Lippmann's Ray Of Light Polish!

I looove this color!
It probably would look a little better with a pink polish underneath but I really like it.
It has a jelly formula and it took about two coats to get it to look like it does above.

Now, I know Deborah Lippmann nail polishes aren't cheap but when I buy her polishes, I buy colors that I've never seen before, and this one is definitely one of those!

What are your favorite Deborah Lippmann polishes?? I'm loving them lately!!

xoxo, Meggie Lew!

My OOTN Girlfran!

7 Deadly Sins Of Beauty TAG!

Hey girl, hey!
How are you? How are the kids? The dog? Good? GOOD!

I thought I'd do yet another TAG video because...well, I love talking I suppose!
This one is the 7 deadly sins of beauty TAG!

The questions are:
1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I tag you all to do this video as well! I know I had a blast doing it!!

WATCH IT HERE PRETTY PAAALEASE! :)

HUGE Haul; I Am A Hoarder.

HOLY COW SMOKY SMOO!

What did that even mean? Who knows.
Yes, I have yet another ridiculous haul, I'd actually be willing to bet that this may be one of the biggest hauls to ever haul in the haul history of haulville. Ya know? ;)

There were a ton of things I've been wanting for awhile, that seemed to have amazing deals go on, so I went a little crazy and filmed a video after I got most of my shipments in!

Watch it here, and these swatches and pictures below will make a little more sense!:

So, as I mentioned in the video, my Sephora shipment didn't come yet, so I wanted to upload this until it did so I could add the proper pictures. Because, I'm oh so proper.

Here's what was in my purtty package!

First, I got Benefit's Hervana blush, I have no blushes by them, and this one looked quite unique. I love the packaging, as always with Benefits products.

When swirled around in all the colors, you get a very pretty baby doll pink, with a little bit of shimmer to it. I cannot wait to try this out!

I think these purchases are the most exciting actually. This is the Urban Decay Super Saturated High Color Lip Gloss in F-Bomb. And oh.my.gosh. is it gorgeous. It's an intimidating color for me but it is so creamy, pigmented, and glossy as you can see below.

I'm not sure how I'll rock either color, but I can't wait to try!

This color is in Big Bang, it is just the most GORGEOUS bright, sparkly, pink. I've never seen anything like this color, ever.

Unfortunately the glitter isn't showing up too well here, but seriously, it is just beautiful. Totally worth the $19!! The glitter looks so beautiful on your lips and it is actually pretty wearable!

And then I got a free Lancome Mascara sample, yes free, I love you Sephora.
The one on the top is their Cils Booster XL, which is a mascara base.
Then the Hypnose Doll Lashes.
And the bottom is their Definicils High Definition Mascara.

Can't wait to try these, and they were free! Ahhhh!

Carrying on with the random swatches and pictures, this is the Maybelline Eyestudio in Olive Martini. As most of you probably know, this is part of their limited edition fall collection.

This quad is a must have, look at these colors!!

The two on the right are honestly worth the money in itself. Get your hands on this if you still can!

Then we have another Maybelline product. This is one of their Color Tattoos in Pomegranate Punk. It is a very pretty dark plum color. It's very creamy, and very pigmented.

Then we have the raged about, Wet N Wild palette in Petal Pusher. For $4.99, you can't go wrong with this palette. The colors are very pigmented and I know of two off the top of my head that a dupes for some MAC eye shadows. The only sad thing is the bottom glittery black broke a little on me already and made a HUGE mess!! :(

Of course it had to be the black one, right?

I decided to give one of my favorite beauty gurus, MakeupGeek, Marlena, some love. I wanted a bright blue cream eyeshadow, so I decided to buy their Jitterbug. I think these cream eyeshadow are just test products for now, but they are SUPER pigmented. The only thing is, there's almost so much pigmentation that they stain your skin a little bit. Maybe it's just this color though? However, it was super affordable at about $4.99!

Then I got some MAC Pigments from the MakeupGeek store as well, I thought this pigment would look really pretty over the cream eyeshadow, it's MAC's Reflects Turquatic

Here's a so-so picture of it over the cream shadow, GORGGGG!

Here's my most beloved pigment by MAC, Reflects Antique Gold, seriously my favorite makeup thing...ever.

And then lastly, MAC's Reflects Blackened Red. It would really look nice over the Pomegranate Punk Color Tattoo I swatched above, I think. You can get a ton of these samples on her site for under $5.00!! How can you go wrong?!

I heard so much about NYX'S Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, so I'm excited I finally have this!

I also heard a ton about this NYX product as well, it's their blush in Pinched, and is pretty similar to NARS' Orgasm, except almost more finely milled and prettier, whoa. That's a crazy thing for me to say..or type? I can't wait to try this blush out!!

Okay so then of COURSE, Urban Decay had to have a huge sale going on on their products so I got a lip gloss in Midnight Cowboy and The Ocho Loco 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil Set. Because I'm naughty.
From left to right the colors are Perversion, Stash, Hustle, LSD, Junkie, Rockstar, Mushroom, and Psychedelic Sister. These are full sizes for about half the price and SO creamy!! These are honestly the best eyeliners I have ever touched.

Here's a dupe for LSD (to the right) that I noticed after I swatched it and it is Stila's Smudge Stick in Bluefin (to the left). I think the Stila one is a little bit more blue though.

Then I picked up some stuff for MAC as well ;) hehe
From right to left, I got three Eye Kohl's in Prunella, Powersurge, and Tarnish.
All really pretty, but not as creamy as the Urban Decay Pencils. Prunella also looks a lot like Rockstar from Urban Decay that I swatched above.

Then I had to try the raved about MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul. It is a beautiful brownish pink with a lot of shimmer. It definitely wakes up your cheeks!

And the last swatch of this post is another MAC Sheertone Blush in Peachtwist. Which is a shimmery peachy pink color, a must have for any collection I think! I'm loving this color!

Okay so those are my swatches from this CRAZY HUGE HAUL.

Don't judge me okay? ;)

I hope you guys enjoyed it and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

xoxo, Megs!

Nail Color Of The Week!

Today, I have on some of my gel nails by the company, Nailuv!

The color I'm wearing today is, Dashing Diva. I love the shine it gives my nails, and the fact that it lasts a little longer than most normal polishes. But not by that much.

Certain colors I have by this brand haven't been as opaque as I would have expected and they actually chip and peel off pretty quickly, even though I do everything I'm supposed to step by step. :(

If you guys have any suggestions, let me know!

Otherwise, I do love this color, I just don't like how easily they can peel off.

xoxo, Megs.

October's Ipsy Bag and Birchbox!

I thought it may be easier to do a joined blog post and video on these two rather than just doing two different ones each time.

AKA, it'll make my life easier, okay? ;)

If you'd rather just watch the video, then here it is!:

Soo, let's get into the Birchbox first, all swatches will be at the end!

First product: Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum

 Second product: Essie's Lady Like

 Third product: Jouer Lip Enhancer

Fourth product: Kiehl's Rosa Arctica Eye

And last, and definitely least, Luna's Lemonzest

Okay, so my impressions? The box was $10, I feel as though I just recieved about $10 worth of stuff. Not necessarily what I want out of a beauty box.

But, again, it is only $10. The Essie polish really saved this box in my opinion. It looks like a really nice light nude-ish purple. BUT, I DO NOT WANT FOOD! I hate that. That's not why people sign up for these things, well, at least not why I do. Do you?

I want beauty products Birchbox, okay?

SO, all in all, this box gets a B. Not wowed. But I will try each product, and if something wows me, I'll most likely do a review on it :)

Now onto my Ipsy Bag!

First product: Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain  in #4

Second product: Be A...Bombshell Eyeliner

Third product: Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Quad (Colors, right to left, top to bottom: Antique Lilac, Wisteria, Lemon Chiffon, and Raspberry Tart)

Fourth product: theBalm What's Your Type? "the body builder" Mascara

Fifth product: Pequil Oil Treatment

Now, this is what I want in a beauty bag/box! I want these kind of products. I think that's why I like Ipsy more, they give you more of those kind of things, and Birchbox can be kind of random.

I was really impressed with the eye shadows, I LOVE the eyeliner. I actually used it all day today and it stayed on amazingly well. I will be using this a ton.

I think this bag definitely gets an A. I also love how the company always changes up the bags they give out. I wish Birchbox would be a little more creative each month with their boxes. They're just so...boring.

Here are the swatches of the products that needed swatchin' ;)

So, as you can see, the products in the Ipsy bag were extremely pigmented.

The top swatches are the four eye shadows from the Coastal Scents Quad, then the black eyeliner, and then the Lip Bomb!

LOVE 'EM!

How did you guys like your bags/boxes??!

xoxo, Megan
